Structure and use of detachable gooseneck low bed semi trailer

1. The detachable gooseneck low bed semi trailer has flatbed, concave beam and tire exposed structures, and the longitudinal beam adopts straight or gooseneck type. The frame is stepped, and the cross section of the longitudinal beam is I-shaped, which has the characteristics of high rigidity and high strength. 

2. The main plane of the frame and cargo platform is low, which ensures the stability of transportation, and is suitable for carrying all kinds of construction machinery, large equipment and steel. 

3. It adopts three-axis balanced, two-axis balanced or rigid suspension, with mass balance blocks installed between the front and rear leaf springs, which can change the deflection of the front and rear leaf springs and balance the forces on the front and rear axles.

Removable gooseneck low bed semi trailer operation principle

By using synchronized hydraulic cylinders, the trailer components can be lowered and raised. They run between the trailer loading deck and the gooseneck at a point behind the connecting hook point.

There is also a pair of thrust load-bearing blocks and a pair of safety hooks that are usually engaged between the trailer and the gooseneck.

 This is to keep them in a good operating position. In order to maintain a good interconnection relationship between the main connecting hooks, a pair of connecting lock pins is used. There is also a retractable safety pin to maintain the interconnection between the cargo platform and the gooseneck hydraulic cylinder attachment.

In normal operation, the plunger is inserted between the gooseneck and the cargo platform, providing a perfect locking of the thrust power bearing block under load. A power unit is installed at the front gooseneck of the detachable gooseneck semi-trailer to provide power to the hydraulic cylinder and control the expansion and contraction of the hydraulic cylinder and the lifting of the gooseneck to improve safe operation procedures. 

Advantage of Gooseneck detachable lowbed semi trailer

Compared with ordinary low-bed semi-trailer

The main difference between the detachable gooseneck lowbed semi trailer and the ordinary low-bed trailer is that the detachable gooseneck semi-trailer loads equipment or goods from the front of semi trailer.

Ideally, the detachable gooseneck lowbed trailer is complicated to operate, but the equipment/cargo is easy to load on the trailer. The cargo platform is relatively low than ordinary lowbed trailer and can reach a height of 600mm-800mm. The equipment is safer and more stable during loading, transfer, and unloading operations.

Unlike the detachable gooseneck low-low trailer, the ordinary low-low trailer is loaded from the rear of trailer, and the equipment is loaded to the cargo platform through the lowbed trailer rear ladder and then driven on the trailer.

This operation is relatively simple, but usually the height of the lowbed trailer platform is relatively high, about 1000-1250mm, equipment or any other goods need to be carefully driven on the trailer.
