1. Weekly or routine inspection before each transportation (operated by the users)

 

The following safety inspections must be carried out weekly or before each transportation (whichever occurs first):

 


a. Check the tire pressure and adjust it to the level recommended by the tire manufacturer;

 

b. Check the tightness of tire screws;

 

c. Check the brake system for air leakage and test whether it can brake;

 

d. Check the tightness of all suspension nuts, screws and bolts;

 

e. Check the brake connection of tractor and semi trailers;

 

f. Drain the air reservoir and air chamber equipped with air suspension;

 

g. Check all lamps;

 

h. Check and ensure that the landing leg works normally;

 


i. Check the wear of moving parts.


 

2. Monthly inspection (operated by the users)



a. Check the tightness of all suspension components (according to the torque data provided);

 

b. Check whether the leaf spring is broken;

 

c. Check whether all connectors and hoses of the braking system are damaged and whether hose clamps are missing;

 

d. Check the proper operation of relay valve and other valves;

 

e. Check the wear of tension rod bushing;

 


f. Check the brake drum for cracks or abnormal wear;

 

g. Check whether the lubricating oil of the axle will leak;

 

h. Check all fasteners, especially those used for outriggers, tires, axles, etc. (in any case, nuts, screws and other fasteners shall be tightened to the recommended torque parameters);

 

i. Check the wear of traction pin;

 

j. Check whether the brake is normal;

 

k. Lubricate the outrigger and traction plate / traction pin;

 

l. Lightly lubricate the brake camshaft and loosen the adjuster;

 

m. Check whether there is glue opening at the joint of side wall panel, door panel and top plate;

 

n. Replace worn parts with manufactured or approved parts.

 

 

3. Annual maintenance

 

After the vehicle has been used for 6 months, a comprehensive inspection shall be conducted every 12 months to ensure the service performance of the vehicle (including the maintenance in the 6th month). The inspection scope is the same as the above monthly inspection, and the following clauses are added:

 

a. Remove the brake drum and thoroughly check the brake shoe for additional or improper wear;

 

b. Check whether the brake shoe return spring, brake bushing, camshaft sleeve and brake shoe drum are damaged;

 

c. Check the connecting parts of bearings and axles;

 

d. Thoroughly check the vehicle structure and report any problems immediately;

 

e. Replace all worn or damaged parts with the replacement parts recommended by QUEST VEHICLES.

 

 

 

4. Lubrication

 

In order to drive safely and prolong the service life of semi trailers, lubricating grease must be added to all lubricating parts regularly. The following matters shall be paid attention to when adding grease:

 

a. The oil filling appliance and oil filling cup shall be cleaned first.

 

b. If the oil cup cannot be filled with grease, check the cause and replace it if damaged.
